City tour (history/culture)

Paramaribo is placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. During a 3-hour city tour you will find out why. A guided tour past the most significant and ancient buildings of Paramaribo gives you a good picture of the colonial times. The tour starts at Fort Zeelandia, the oldest building of Paramaribo. The Fort is nowadays used as a museum. You will also visit the Independence Square and surrounding historical buildings.

Religious buildings such as the wooden Cathedral at Henck Arronstraat and the Jewish Synagogue and Mosque are also highlights on this tour. You will also visit Waterkant, the Central Market and the city centre.
Duration: 09.00-12.00 hrs or 16.00-19.00 hrs
